Bareilly: Four hurt as LPG cylinder catches fire

PILIBHIT: Four members of a family sustained burn injuries after the LPG cylinder at their home caught fire around 8 pm on Saturday in Dandia village under the jurisdiction of the Neuria police station.
The injured, identified as Lal Bahadur, his wife Bhawana Devi, their son Sanjay and daughter Rajeshwari.
Lal Bahadur said that the incident took place when his 18-year-old daughter was cooking food. He, along with his wife and son, rushed to the kitchen to rescue his daughter. While trying to save her, they all sustained burn injuries in the incident.
Later, the locals helped in dousing the fire, he said.
Meanwhile, the medical officer at the district hospital, Mahaveer Singh, said that the burns were not severe but confined to between 20-25%. “The victims are undergoing treatment,” he added.
