Two young workers sustained burns in a fire that ravaged a laundry in Dhaka’s Uttara.
‘Re-laundry’, a shop in Uttara Sector-9 , caught fire around 3am on Sunday catching the workers in sleep.
Locals heard them screaming and rushed to their rescue, said shop owner Md Imran Hossain.
Two workers — Ad Aziz, 20 and ‘Raj’, 18 — were admitted to Dhaka Medical College & Hospital with 12 to 15 percent burns.
Both the men are related to owner Hossain.
He said a doctor told him they were out of danger.
Hossain said a shot-circuit could have caused the fire.
Fire Service Control Room official Nilufer Yasmin said the locals themselves put out the fire
