Major fire breaks out at spinning mill in Ludhiana’s Jandiali

LUDHIANA: A major fire incident was reported in a spinning mill in Jandiali at Chandigarh Road early on Friday morning.
The fire officials were on their toes to control the high rising flames. In about 60 percent part of factory spread in large area, the fire had engulfed the material and machinery.
The cause of fire is not known yet as fire took place at 4.30am and since then fire officials are controlling the situation.
The sub fire officer Aatish Rai said, “The flames were visible from a long distance but now situation is much under control. We are not aware how it happened and these things will be checked once situation comes under control completely.”
He said the fire tenders from Ludhiana and Samrala are being used.
Meanwhile, the fire incident created panic in the area. The residents were seen making video grabs and circulating the same on social media.
