Man dies after fire breaks out in shop in Delhi’s Jaitpur

NEW DELHI: A man died after a fire broke out inside a shop in the Jaitpur area on Saturday, police said.
Police said they received a call regarding the fire incident on Jaitpur Gurudwara Road and a team rushed to the spot. “The fire was in the shop owned by one Puneet Goyal, a resident of Jaitpur,” an officer said.
Five fire tenders were pressed into service. During search of the shop, one body was recovered, official said.
The deceased was identified as Kundan (25). He worked at the hardware shop that caught the fire, police said.
A case under sections 285 (negligent conduct with respect to fire or combustible matter) and 304 A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code was registered.
On Friday, a 70-year-old-man was charred to death, after a fire broke out in shanties of Trilokpuri. The patrolling staff noticed a fire near 15 block Trilokpuri. Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
