1 killed as fire breaks out in hardware store in Mumbai’s Andheri

MUMBAI: A 22-year-old man was killed after a fire broke out in a hardware store near Sakinaka Metro station near Peninsula Hotel at Andheri east in Mumbai in the wee hours of Monday.
Though the fire was confined to the electric wiring, electric installations and large stock of hardware at the Rajshree hardware, a loft of the said structure, which had a large stock of material, had fallen posing difficulty for fire brigade staff in entering shop.
The shop was a ground plus two lofts structure.
According to a BMC release, it is feared that two to three persons are trapped inside.
The front portion of the structure is being demolished with the help of JCB.
