Factory in Amber catches fire

Jaipur: A major fire broke out in a rug factory in Amber on Friday morning. As many as 12 fire tenders were pressed into service and a JCB machine was also used to break a wall. Officials said that it was a rug company and a fire broke out in its basement where material worth several lakhs was destroyed.
Authorities received information about the blaze shortly after 5am. All available fire tenders were moved to the area. Officials said because the factory’s basement was spread over a large area, they had to move extra fire tenders. It took an hour to control the fire. Police said the reason behind the blaze could not be ascertained in the preliminary probe. tnn
