4 charred to death in blaze at firecracker godown in Gujarat

ARVALLI: A massive fire at a firecracker warehouse near Modasa town in Gujarat’s Aravalli district left four workers dead. The workers were burnt beyond recognition in the mishap.
Arvalli Superintendent of Police, Sanjay Kharat, confirmed that the charred bodies of the workers were found at the site of the incident.
A local fire department official said that they are currently working on extinguishing the fire. The incident was declared a major fire, and rescue operations are underway with support from the Gandhinagar and Himmatnagar municipal teams.
“The reason for the fire is not known yet,” he said.
A dense cloud of smoke spread in the nearby areas and forced the authorities to block the traffic on the road to avoid accidents.
