Fire breaks out at Coimbatore furniture godown

COIMBATORE: A fire brokeout at a furniture shop’s godown on Patel Road in Coimbatore city on Thursday night.
The fire and rescue services department sent three tenders and fire brigades were attempting to douse the blaze.
At around 8.30pm, the incident was reported from the godown of a furniture shop on Patel Road.
The locals noticed the fire and informed the Coimbatore South fire station. A fire tender was sent to the spot. The firemen attempted to put out the fire and their effort went in vain. Meanwhile two more fire tenders were pressed into service and the blaze was brought under control at around 10pm.
