Fire breaks out at 14 Avenue society in Greater Noida’s Gaur City-2

NOIDA: A massive fire broke out at a flat in 14 Avenue of Gaur City-2 on Wednesday morning.
According to fire department officials, they received information about the fire at around 11.50am.
“The fire had initiated on the second floor of L tower of Gaur City-2’s 14th Avenue. The fire had initiated from the first floor balcony of the tower where the flat occupants had made a worship place and had lit a lamp. The fire then spread to the second floor apartment as well,” said Pradeep Kumar Chaubey, chief fire officer, Gautam Budh Nagar.
“After initial investigation, it was found that the synthetic curtains on the balcony had caught the fire from the lamp following which it reached upper floors and at least two more houses on the upper floors were engulfed in it,” the officer said.
“The fire was extinguished within 30 minutes of getting information about it. The exact cause of the fire will be confirmed once further investigation is carried out. It was either due to the lamp or short circuit. By the time our team reached the spot, the flat occupants had already exited and there were no casualties or injuries from the fire,” Chaubey said.
