Two shops gutted in fire in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: Two shops were gutted in a a fire incident that took place in congested Field Ganj of Ludhiana on Wednesday evening.
Both shops belonged to single owner who had gone home at 8.30pm as per his daily routine but he received a call at 8.45pm about fire in his garment shop.
According to the shop owner, the fire brigade reached a little late due to which the fire spread in the adjoining shop where stock of readymade kurtis was kept. The short circuit in wires outside shop is said to be the reason behind the fire.
