Fire at electrical store, 2 rescued

HYDERABAD: A fire broke out in an electrical store at the busy Troop Bazar on Saturday afternoon. Two persons, who were trapped in the three-storied building, escaped unhurt.
Police said that the accident took place on the second floor of the building, where LED tube lights and other related material, were sold. After getting a call about the blaze around 1:30 pm, fire department officers rushed a fire tender to the site. It took nearly three-hour fire-fighting exercise to bring flames under control.
Two persons, who were members of the watchman’s family residing on the third floor of the building, were moved to an adjacent building and rescued subsequently. The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
