Indore: A massive fire was reported in a fiber factory in Rangwasa area of Rau on Wednesday night and continued for several hours before it could be doused.
The fire reportedly destroyed assets worth lakhs. No casualty was reported.
Official said initially two tankers with a capacity of over 30,000 litre were rushed to the site. After a few minutes, additional tenders were called in from other fire stations.
General manager of the factory Ramkaran Meena told fire officials that the fire was triggered around 11:55am due to a suspected short circuit. It took seven hours for the fire officials to douse the flames.
Officials said that they received a call at midnight following which fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Six fire tenders handled by over 50 fire officials were engaged. TNN
