Massive fire breaks out in godown in Pune’s Gangadham
Updated: 2023-06-18 PUNE: A massive fire broke out in a godown in Gangadham area of Pune on Sunday.
The reason behind the fire is not known yet.
After receiving the information, the fire tenders reached the spot. The locals also gathered at the site.
“Around 20 to 25 godowns of different materials were gutted in the fire. Some nearby residents were evacuated”, said Pune Fire Department.
“The situation is under control. We are ensuring that the fire does not spread further. At least 24 fire engines are present on the spot,” said Devendra Potphode, chief fire officer, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), Pune.
