Massive fire breaks out at shopping mall in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam

VIJAYAWADA: A huge fire broke out at a shopping mall in Darsi of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday morning.
No casualties were reported. However, around Rs 2 crore of property loss is estimated.
According to the police, a huge fire broke out in a shopping mall due to an electrical short circuit in the early morning. Upon receipt of the information, police and fire personnel rushed to the spot and took up safety measures.
Two fire engines rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire after about three hours of efforts. Clothes in the shopping mall were gutted in the fire. The mall management estimated that around Rs 2 crore of the property was gutted in the fire.
No casualties were reported as the accident took place before the mall was opened on Saturday.
