Fire breaks out at south Kolkata highrise; no injuries

KOLKATA: A fire erupted on Wednesday in a residential high-rise located in the Gariahat area of south Kolkata, officials said.
The incident occurred at around 4.25pm on the second floor of the building situated at Mandeville Gardens.
Currently, four fire engines are actively engaged in efforts to extinguish the flames and bring the situation under control.
There have been no immediate reports of any injuries.
“The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained,” a Fire and Emergency Services official said.
