Two workers suffer over 40% burns in factory fire

MUMBAI: Two workers sustained over 40% burns while another suffered superficial burns after a fire broke out in a factory in Tarapur MIDC in Boisar on Monday night. The fire that has been extinguished, is believed to have occurred while unloading an industrial fuel from a tanker.
The Boisar MIDC police said the fire was reported from the factory at around 9.30pm on Monday. Eight fire engines were pressed into service. The fire was extinguished after a three hour operation early Tuesday.
The workers have been identified as Fukhran Khan (27) and Ashrafali Shaikh (35). Lalbahadur Verma (54) sustained superficial burns.
