Fire breaks out PCDA building, no casualty

Prayagraj: A fire broke out on the second floor of the principal controller defence accounts (pension) office building at Draupadi ghat under the limits of Cantt police station on Monday morning. No casualty was reported but some furniture, foam mattress and papers were reduced to ashes. Chief fire officer R K Pandey told TOI, the fire broke out at around 10:40am and three fire tenders took around three hours to douse the flames with the help of extension ladder and breathing apparatus. The CFO said: “Initial probe indicated towards short circuit behind the incident. The PCDA authorities are yet to provide the details of losses.”
