Fire at Regal Talkies

Indore: A major fire broke out at Regal Talkies, an iconic single screen theatre in the city on Monday evening but the reason wasn’t clear.
The incident took place at 5.45 pm on Monday in the sealed building when flames and smoke filled the area around it, police said.
Panic gripped among residents living behind the building at Tukoganj in the evening and they rushed out of their houses, police said.
The police and fire brigade were informed, and fire was doused within 15 minutes. Tukoganj police station in-charge Pankaj Singh Rajwat said, “The incident took place in the evening. There is no loss of life or material as the building is vacant and sealed.”
“Two guards were posted outside the building. The reason for the fire is not clear yet. It may be because of a short-circuit or any other thing. The police are investigating the matter,” said Rajawat.
