Major fire in Delhi’s Alipur godown, no one injured

NEW DELHI: A major fire broke out at a godown in Alipur on Sunday. Officials said the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) was informed about the incident around 3.10pm after the smoke coming out of the godown caught the attention of nearby people.
Twenty fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. The DFS claimed that no one was injured in the fire.
An official said the godown housed drums of chlorinated paraffins which acted as a catalyst, adding that the fire was doused around 6.10pm. The fire department said the police will probe the reason behind the incident.
