Maharashtra: Fire breaks at Company in Patalganga MIDC, Raigad; no casualties reported

MUMBAI: A major fire broke out at a warehouse in Patalganga MIDC area on Friday around 6.30pm.
Fire brigade rescue team with as many as 10 fire tenders from Taloja, Panvel, Patalganga MIDC, Khopoli and Pen rushed to the spot for the fire fighting operation, said Ashish More, station officer of Taloja fire brigade.
More said, “The fire broke out at Sharma warehouse owned by Nimit Pallet company that manufactures wooden and plastic pallets used for storing goods to transport. The fire was extinguished after four hours of fire fighting operation. We managed to prevent to fire from spreading to adjacent companies. Now, the cooling operation is in progress. Fortunately, there was no casualty. The cause of fire is not known, as the warehouse was closed for the day and hence there was no one at the warehouse.”
