Fire breaks out in two coaches of Udyan Express at Bengaluru station, no casualties

BENGALURU: A fire broke out in two AC coaches of Mumbai-Bengaluru Udyan Express (Train Number 11301) at KSR Bengaluru station on Saturday morning.
The train arrived at around 5.45am. Almost one-and-half hours after the arrival of the train, smoke emanating from the coaches were noticed. Immediately the fire brigade was alerted, which reached the spot at 7.35am.
Chief PRO of the South Western Railway (SWR) Aneesh Hegde said, “Smoke emanating from two coaches of the stationed train was noticed at around 7.10am. It was an empty train. As all passengers had boarded from the train, no injuries or casualties were reported.”
The fire brigade managed to douse the fire at around 9am. The train has been cleared from the track for maintenance.
The official claimed that other services from the station were not impacted after the fire incident. The investigation is on to find out the reason for the fire accident.
