Fire at PVR, none injured

Kanpur: Chaos prevailed at PVR cinema after fire broke out in recliner seats on Saturday evening. Police said that people were safely evacuated. Police further said that a good crowd had come to watch Gadar-2 movie at PVR, South Ex Mall on Saturday.
“During the fourth show of the film, smoke suddenly started emanating from under the recliner seats. Seeing the smoke, people panicked and started running and a stampeded type of situation occurred. During this, two seats were engulfed in flames,” they said. Inspector Juhi Jitendra Singh however said that the fire was brought under control by the employees of the PVR. “The fire department had issued a No Objection Certificate to the Mall about a month back,” he said.
Chief Fire Officer Deepak Sharma, meanwhile, said, information has been received and action will be taken after investigation.
