Fire breaks out in tannery due to short-circuit in Jajmau

Kanpur:A fire broke out in a tannery located in Jajmau on Tuesday afternoon. Within short time the blaze spread into a major portion of the tannery. Three fire tenders reached the spot and extinguished the fire after about hours of effort. Sarfaraz Khan, resident of Jajmau Defense Colony, owns a tannery on the road near Siddhanth Temple. Tannery employees said that the fire broke out due to short-circuit in the spraying machine on Tuesday afternoon. The fire engulfed the leather goods stocked inside the tannery, due to which within a short time, fire took a formidable form.After coming out of the tannery, the employees informed the fire department and Jajmau police about the incident. tnn
