Fire in three factories in west Delhi

Updated: 2024-04-10

New Delhi: A massive fire broke out at three factories in Mundka on Tuesday. No deaths or injuries took place. The fire initially broke out in one of these factories but quickly spread to the other two, causing a huge plume of black smoke to rise high into the sky. Workers in the factories immediately evacuated the premises to save their lives.

A fire call was made at 11:12 am, after which 27 firefighting engines were sent to the spot with nearly 100 firefighting personnel. The blaze was doused around 5 pm. The factories were manufacturing a myriad of products, including plastic items, footwear and threads. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and fire officials, along with cops, are investigating the case.
