Bldg housing boys’hostel catches fire

Patna: A fire erupted at a building housing a boys’ hostel on Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg here on Friday.
The blaze was extinguished by six fire engines, averting any casualty, even as household goods worth lakhs were gutted. House owner Vashishtha Muni, who resides on the first floor, said the fire erupted from the lamp of their home temple. The flames spread to kitchen, leading to a cylinder explosion.
Sub-inspector Dadan Kumar Singh from the district fire department said there were initial challenges with access to the house. TNN
