One dead, 17 injured as major fire breaks out at perfume making unit at Jalgaon

NASHIK: A person died and 17 others suffered minor to grievous burn injuries in a fire at a perfume-making unit in Jalgaon on Wednesday morning.
The injured have been admitted to private hospitals in Jalgaon.
Jalgaon SP MCV Maheshwar Reddy confirmed the incident stating that the condition of five people was critical.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The Jalgaon MIDC police said the fire broke out at around 8am. Soon after the incident was reported to the police, fire tenders from the Jalgaon Municipal Corporation and other places of the district rushed to the spot.
Body of one worker was found in the unit.
