Fire breaks out at BSNL bldg, none hurt

Prayagraj: Panic gripped Civil Lines and adjoining areas for two hours after a major fire broke out at first and third floors of BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited ) building. Four fire tenders took around two hours to control the fire.
Chief Fire Officer (Prayagraj) PK Pandey told TOI, “The fire first broke out at a transformer, kept aside the building of BSNL and the fire spread to first and third floors before one could take measures to control it.
Firemen rushed adequate fire fighters to douse the flames. No one was hurt in the fire”. CFO said, “Fire damaged the cables, equipment’s and other articles in the first and third floors of the building”. The entire BSNL building was engulfed in smoke and firemen searched the building once the fire was completely controlled.
