Fire breaks out in Sisamau godown

Kanpur: A major fire broke out at a tannery compound in Sisamau area of city on Friday. Three fire tenders were pressed to douse the flames. The fire broke out at the godown of Noor Enterprises located inside the tannery compound in Sisamau. The cause of the fire is not yet known. After receiving the information, fire personnel with the help of fire tenders from Colonelganj and Meerpur fire stations worked hard to control the fire. Chief Fire Officer Deepak Sharma said, the fire has been completely extinguished. “There has been no loss of life. The damage caused by the fire could not be assessed,” the official said. tnn
