4 injured as ambulance catches fire after colliding with truck in Odisha

BALASORE: Four people were injured when an ambulance caught fire after colliding with a truck in Odisha’s Balasore district on Sunday morning, police said.
The accident occurred while the ambulance, carrying a patient, was en route to the Balasore district hospital from Basta.
The ambulance rear-ended a container truck near Murkimundi Chhak in the Rupsa police station area. Following the collision, the ambulance erupted in flames.
The patient and other injured individuals were rescued and taken to the Balasore district hospital.
“The pharmacist of the ambulance was seriously injured, and had been sent to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for better treatment,” police said.
