NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at the boys hostel of Sir Parashurambhau College in Pune, Maharashtra on Sunday morning due to a short-circuit in an electrical meter installed on the outer wall of the hostel. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The fire brigade control room received a call about the blaze and immediately dispatched a team to the site. The college staff acted promptly, using fire extinguishers to try to control the fire while also contacting the fire brigade and the electricity department.
The fire brigade arrived swiftly and completely extinguished the fire. A fire official confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.
“Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident,” he said.
The fire brigade team ensured everyone’s safety and prevented any further damage.
The college is governed by a private education society.
