Fire breaks out in MSEZ unit

Mangaluru: A massive fire broke out in one of the units inside the Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ) on Sunday. Residents noticed thick smoke engulfed in the area after a fire broke out in a fish processing unit inside the MSEZ. However, officials of the MSEZ said no casualties were reported in the incident. Suryanarayana, CEO of MSEZL, said that there was a fire accident in one of the fish processing units inside SEZ. The unit name is Authentic Ocean Treasure. MSEZL fire team, teams of the MRPL and GMPL have worked to douse the fire. As per the preliminary report, no casualties were reported, he stated.
