NEW DELHI: A fire broke out in a residential building in the Kishangarh area of New Delhi on Wednesday, injuring four family members and resulting in the death of one teenager.
Two fire trucks and three Police Control Room (PCR) vans were sent to the scene as soon as information about the incident was receivedAccording to the police, the 16-year-old boy identified as Aakash Mandal has died, while Sunny Mandal, 22, is in critical condition and has been taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The other injured family members—Laxmi Mandal, 42, Deepak, 20, and Anita Mandal, 40—are currently in stable condition at Safdarjung Hospital.
The cause of the fire is still unclear. Initially, it was thought that a leak from an LPG cylinder might have caused it, but an inspection found the cylinder to be safe and intact
