An old-tyre dump in a furnace oil factory turned into an inferno after it caught fire.
The blaze, however, has been brought under control.
Witnesses said around 12:30 pm old-tyre dump of Asian Oil Limited caught fire and the blaze quickly spread to the surrounding areas.
Five units of fire fighters from Savar, DEPZ and Mirpur rushed to spot and doused the flames.
Riaj Ahmed, a supplier, told bdnews24.com that the factory interiors were unscathed.
