Quiapo warehouse fire destroys P5M in property

At least P5 million in property was destroyed in a four-hour fire that razed a warehouse in Manila’s Quiapo district Tuesday night.
Firefighters admitted to having difficulty in putting out the fire along Orozco Street, radio dzBB reported early Wednesday.
The fire started at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday and reached the fifth alarm. It was under control and put out at 11:39 p.m.
The warehouse was use used to store flammable plastic products, kitchenware and glassware.
Meanwhile, local police have cordoned off the area to thwart looters, and allow investigators to look into what caused the fire. — Joel Locsin/DVM, GMA
