Updated: 2014-09-01-09:35
A fire of undetermined origin razed a paper factory in Muntinlupa City and has yet to be put out more than 12 hours after it started Sunday night.
Investigators are still determining what caused the fire, which started shortly after 8 p.m., radio dzBB’s Manny Vargas reported.
The fire raged on as the factory contained several flammable materials, radio dzBB’s Manny Vargas reported.
Classes at a nearby elementary school were suspended due to the potential danger to pupils.
Firefighters had a hard time getting to the area because of the narrow roads.
As of 9 a.m., Muntinlupa City fire marshal Superintendent Roderick Aguto told GMA News TV’s “News to Go” the fire was still confined but not yet put out.
“Kino-contain namin siya na huwag (madamay ang) residential area,” Aguto said. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
