Fire at Chatuchak market

Police at Bang Sue station were informed of the fire at the internationally known market in Lad Yao sub-district of Chatuchak district about 7am.
The blaze began in zone 12 of the market. Two fire engines from Suthisarn police station were deployed and firemen brought the blaze under control in half an hour.
Because the fire happened early in the morning the shops were still closed. No one was injured.
Police were investigating the cause of the fire. The burnt zone 12 is for vendors of garments and ornaments.
