Another Chittagong trawler fire victim dies

Another person has died of burn injuries in Chittagong after injuries sustained in a fishing trawler explosion.
‘Liton’,30, died Monday night at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
President of Fishing Boat Association Aminul Haq Babul Sarker said,”Liton hails from Ramgati, Lakhshmipur. He was a fisherman in the ill-fated MV Monir.”
With Liton’s death, the death toll in the trawler fire has touched three. Earlier two bodies had been recovered from the sunken trawler.
Head of burn unit at Chittagong Medical College Hospital Mrinal Kanti Das said, Liton had sustained 95% burn injuries.
That gave him little chance of recovery.
On Saturday engine of MV Monir had exploded and the trawler caught fire. It partly sank as well. Four persons including Liton were rescued and sent to hospital.
Body of Nuruddin Bhuiyan,45, and Nizamuddin,42,were found at the engine room of the trawler on Saturday afternoon.
Apart from that Nuruddin,43,Md Akbar,20, and Md Alamgir,45, are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
