Fire Destroys House Belonging To MACC Officer

DUNGUN, Sept 24 (Bernama) — Fire destroyed a house belonging to a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officer at 1.20pm today.
The fire was discovered by neighbour Zakiah Mohamad, 43, after seeing smoke coming from the kitchen of the unoccupied house in Kampung Padang Jambu.
Operations commander Nor Azizi Che Noh said eight firemen on a fire engine rushed to the scene and prevented the fire spreading to nearby houses.
“The fire was put out in half an hour. We are investigating the cause and estimating the losses,” he told reporters here, today.
The MACC officer has been working at the MACC office in Putrajaya over the past few years and only stayed in the house during vacation.
