Baclaran KTV bar fire slows traffic bound for NAIA
Updated: 2012-11-18-12:04
Traffic heading toward the Ninoy Aquino International Airport slowed down before noon Sunday as a fire hit a KTV bar in Baclaran in southern Metro Manila.
No one was initially reported injured in the fire, which started at about 10:20 a.m. and reached the first alarm, radio dzBB’s Paulo Santos reported.
Firefighters tried to put out the fire, with fire trucks blocking parts of Roxas Boulevard slowing traffic heading to and coming from the airport, the report said.
A photo posted on the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s Twitter account showed traffic congested near the area affected by the fire.
The fire appeared to weaken as of 11 a.m., the report added.
Arson investigators are still determining what caused the fire. — LBG, GMA News
