Three fire incidents in Capital

KATHMANDU: Police reported three cases of fire in Kathmandu Valley on Friday and Saturday.
Properties worth Rs 185,000 were destroyed as a rented room caught fire in Bhimsengola, KMC-34 on Saturday.
The room of Sanjaya Acharya (35) had caught fire while a gas heater was being reparied at around 12:15 pm today.
Television set, vacuum cleaner, gas heater, laptop, I-pad and DVD player were gutted in the fire, according to police.
Likewise, a person was injured and a passenger bus was partially destroyed while the bus parked at a garage caught fire in Bafal of Kathmandu at around 4pm yesterday.
Seats and windows of the bus (Na 4 Kha 3560) were destroyed whereas its driver Satya Bahadur Tamang (35) of Hetauda, Makawanpur sustained burn injuries.
Tamang got injured while he tried to contain the fire. Police said, he is undergoing treatment at the Kalanki-based City Centre Hospital.
Similarly, another parked bus also caught fire at around 7 pm yesterday in Gwarko of Lalitpur.
The fire erupted in the vehicle (Ba 4 Kha 8440) caused a slight loss to the bus, police said.
Police are looking into all cases.
