20 Lahad Datu Squatter Houses Destroyed In Fire

LAHAD DATU, Nov 22 (Bernama) — Twenty houses in a squatter area at Kampung Pangkalan Silam, near here, was destroyed in a fire early today.
Sabah Fire and Rescue public relations officer Mohd Affendy Kamin said the department dispatched a fire truck with eight personnel to the scene upon receiving a distress call at 12.14 am.
“They arrived at 12.44 am to find the houses almost totally razed,” he said in a statement today.
