Techie’s bike catches fire

A software engineer’s bike suddenly caught fire when he stopped to attend a phone call near Jubilee Hills check post on Thursday morning. A fire tender was requisitioned to douse the flames.
The Jubilee Hills police said Ravinder Reddy, who was riding the bike and was proceeding to Ameerpet from Madhapur, stopped near the check post to attend the call.
“As he was speaking on his mobile, Ravinder smelt something burning and noticed fumes coming out of the engine. He tried to put off the fire with water, but all his efforts went in vain as the bike got engulfed in flames,” police said.
According to police, a fire tender was rushed to the spot and the flames were doused. A case was registered under fire accident.
