Properties worth Rs 5 lakh destroyed in fire

KATHMANDU: Properties worth Rs 496,000 were destroyed when a shed caught fire at Matatirtha-5 on the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley on Saturday.
According to police, the shed belonging to Krishna Kumar Shrestha caught the fire at around 6:00 pm yesterday due to electric short circuit.
Woods, straws, plastic pipes and corrugated sheets were destroyed in the incident, said police.
