Predawn fire hits PSC martial arts gym

A fire believed caused by an electrical short circuit hit a gym in the Philippine Sports Commission compound in Manila before dawn Wednesday.
No one was initially reported injured in the fire at the gym of the martial arts training center, radio dzBB’s Luisito Santos reported.
The athletes who use the gym are said to be out of town, training for an international competition next year.
The report quoted a caretaker as saying he heard explosions shortly before the fire broke out.
