Traffic comes to a standstill as van catches fire in Beribi

TRAFFIC along the bustling Beribi Industrial Area yesterday morning came to a standstill when a van caught fire.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department, the fire was caused by a loose extension in the car battery.
Fire personnel received a call at 8.11am and two fire engines with eight personnel were dispatched to the area. The loss was estimated at around $3,000.
