At least two people were reported hurt after a fire razed 16 houses in Quezon City before midnight Thursday.
The fire occurred at a residential area in Barangay Pasong Tamo in the city’s Tandang Sora district, radio dzBB’s Luisito Santos reported.
Quezon City fire marshal Superintendent Jesus Fernandez said they are verifying information there was no power in the area shortly before the fire broke out.
Initial investigation showed the fire started at about 10:55 p.m. and reached the second alarm before it was put out by 11:35 p.m.
Arson investigators estimated the damage to property at P500,000.
A photo tweeted by Santos indicated 16 houses were razed, with the affected residents now in a quandary on where they would stay.
