Short circuits cause fires in 3 places

KATHMANDU: Properties worth Rs 600,000 were destroyed when a shop caught fire in Naya Bazaar of the Capital on Wednesday.
The Gorkhali Fancy Collection Store, operated by Dinesh Shrestha from Baguwa-5 of Gorkha, in Naya Bazaar, KMC-16 had caught fire today.
Police said electronic short circuit caused the fire.
In another case, properties worth Rs 150,000 were destroyed when a grocery shop in Dharmasthali on the outskirts of Kathmandu caught fire today.
Electronic short circuit had caused the fire at the shop owned by Prakash Maharjan in Dharmasthali-8.
Meanwhile, an NGO office also caught a fire on Tuesday, gutting properties worth Rs 482,000 in Lalitpur.
The office of Hoste Haise in Bhanimandal, LSMC-4 had caught fire.
Police identified electronic short circuit as a reason behind this incident also.
Locals and police had extinguished the fires.
