Five Houses Razed, Woman Dies In Dawn Fire

SHAH ALAM, Dec 21 (Bernama) — Five double-storey terrace houses in Kampung Rantau Panjang, Jalan Kapar, Klang were destroyed in an early morning fire which claimed the life of an Indonesian woman.
Sungai Pinang Fire and Rescue Station Operation commander, PBK II Sathia Seelan in a statement said the department received a distress call at 6.05 am and the first fire engine arrived at the scene at 6.12 am.
“Fourteen firemen from three nearby fire stations were rushed to the location and the fire was brought under control 20 minutes later,” he said.
In the fire, a paralysed Indonesian woman in her 50’s was killed while another Indonesian woman suffered burns.
“The dead victim has yet to be identified while the injured victim is 27 years old,” he said.
