A fire of undetermined origin hit Living and Style Building beside CW Home Depot in Chino Roces Ave., Makati City on New Year’s Eve.
According to a report by Luisito Santos over DZBB, Sr. Insp. Pedro Espinosa of the Makati City Central Fire Department said initial investigation revealed the fire started at 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 and was under control by 1:20 a.m. on Jan. 1.
The fire began at the second floor at the canteen area, where some papers were also being stored. While initial reports said that the fire could have been caused by a stray firecracker, authorities declined to give an official cause of the fire.
DZBB reporter Nimfa Ravelo and YouScooper Eduardo Marasigan, Jr. posted photos of the fire.
On Wednesday, at least three fires occurred in Pasig, Quezon and Las Piñas Cities, the last being the deadliest with six fatalities.
