20 families lose homes in Manila fire

At least 20 families lost their homes Monday after a fire of undetermined origin razed a residential area in Manila’s Binondo district before noon Monday.
No one was initially reported injured in the fire which had reached the fourth alarm as of 11:48 a.m., radio dzBB’s Carlo Mateo reported.
Firefighters rushed to the area to help contain the fire at the corner of Sevilla Street and C.M. Recto.
The fire was put out at 12:10 p.m.
